Although not yet confirmed, the release date for the fourth installment of the Fallout series will coming from the same Bethesda Studios. Many speculations have been made regarding what’s up with this game and when it will be released, and it seems that the prayers of the many Fallout 3 fans have been finally answered with a release date set for this year’s November, even though there weren’t a lot left still believing the follow-up to Fallout 3 would arrive in 2014.
Fans haven’t got any taste of Fallout since October 2010, when the last installment became an instant success. Players had to dive into a post-apocalyptic world and face all kinds of challenges while completing the game’s quests in an open-world type RPG game.
The developers behind the game hinted that they are working on what is probably their biggest and best work until now. This pretty much pointed towards Fallout 4. From what we know from the developers, the Fallout 4 development started all the way back in 2012, but was pushed to the side to make room for the Skyrim DLC that was in the works as well back then. Now that that’s no longer a concern, Fallout 4 should be the top priority for the studio. The earliest we can expect the so long awaited sequel to Fallout 3 is later this year, in November to be more precise.
Players will return to a post-apocalyptic Boston scenery. This even received confirmation from one of the actors involved with the series, Erik Todd Dellums.
Bethesda has a new and unique gameplay for the fans that criticized the last installment of the series for being too similar to Oblivion. To make sure of that, new elements will make their debut in Fallout 4, instead of just having re-worked versions of the old ones.
Some of the new elements coming to the Fallout universe are the new Ghoul and Super Mutant races which will wait for you in Central Boston. You will probably have to pass around there at some point during one of your challenges, which you will need to complete in order to gain level-ups for your character. Although there is a sense of fresh with the new game, fans can also expect a return from the things that made the last installment so enjoyable.
As far as it is known, the graphics need some more work, and certain parts aren’t quite ready for a demo version just yet.
The EGX 2014 is the next stop for Fallout fans, as they now look to this even for more Fallout news. The majority hopes for a release date being offered at the event. If a 2014 release is not going to happen, then the first months of 2015 might shed some light on the situation. Although there is nothing confirmed just yet, speculation continue to surface the recent hype surge for the game makes us believe that there is definitely something in the works.
