Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Gets Four DLC Packs for $30

The game will be receiving four different DLC packs and if you are one of the ardent fans of the series, you should consider buying the season pass now for $30. Gearbox Software and 2K Australia are the team behind this title that has officially confirmed this announcement.

They were at the Pax Panel 2014 that got over a couple of days ago. Besides sharing some interesting details about the game development process and their contribution in bringing the world to life one more time, the team revealed that they are looking forward to support the title for a long time. They have planned four different downloadable packs that will further expand the already pre-sequel game. During their press meet, they revealed that the storyline for the game is set between Borderlands 1 and Borderlands 2. It is going to answer a lot of questions that people had in mind when playing the last game, including explanations on how the world came under the control of the evil lord, stylish antagonist Handsome Jack.

DLCs are a common occurrence these days and the trend will continue with Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. It will give players to explore new additional missions, weapons, outfits and characters that will add more hours of game play. If you are not sure about making a full investment, you can always wait and purchase the individual DLC content at $10 for a pack.

When you choose to go for the season pass, you will be saving $10, because the pack will automatically allow you to download all the DLCs, as it gets released and is priced only at $30. Players who purchase the pack will not be eligible to get the pre-order bonus content for the game named ‘Shock Drop Slaughter Pit’. However, there is an option to purchase it at a later date when it becomes openly available.

Game in Final Stage of Development

During the Pax Prime Panel, representatives from Gearbox Software and 2K Australia added that they are quite busy at the moment. The entire team is putting in the final touches for the game and getting it ready for the release date. More details about the DLC will be known only after the game is ready for release. The panel was also had Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford who said that they are planning to add a body double of Handsome Jack so that he could be part of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

He was one of the most beloved villains in the series that kept players glued to the storyline. There was a huge uproar when this news was revealed during the panel, but the CEO added that they are yet to confirm this addition. Playing Tales from Borderlands will also allow you to unlock additional content in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel which is scheduled to get launched on October 14.
