Xiaomi is slowly making its presence felt on the mobile market, and the Mi 4 manages to live up to other flagshipsâ standards, offering more than a phone lover would want from a … phone! As for Google, the company prepares us a new entry to the Nexus line, but we donât have a confirmation or a negation regarding the features leaked by all kinds of websites. Weâre very curious if the Nexus 6 will be exactly how weâre imagining, or if if will be built by HTC, or LG, or even Motorola, which, according to rumors, will name it âShamuâ.
Displays and Dimensions
The Xiaomi Mi 4, which was released in July, comes with a 5inches IPS LCD display, boasting a resolution of 1,080×1,920pixels, which gives a pixel density of 441ppi. The phone is weighting 149grams and its dimensions are 139.2×68.5×8.9mm.
Regarding the Nexus 6, it is speculated to feature a full HD and curved 5.2inches LCD display, which will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. In case Motorola will be company chosen by Google to develop the smartphone, then the Nexus 6 will have 5.9inches display.
Hardware and OS
The Mi 4 is available in two variants of built-in storage options, 16GB and 64GB, but they arenât expandable. The phone is running extremely fast thanks to its 2.5GHz quad core Krait 400 CPU (Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 SoC and Adreno 330 GPU). And it runs on the Android 4.4.3 (KitKat) with 2GB of RAM and has its own MIUI V5.
According to rumors, the Nexus model will have a 64-bit Snapdragon 800 SoC, which will support a 3GHz processor, and Taiwan online newspaper, Economic Daily News, believes that itâs going to be a 64 -bit Mediatek CPU. But it also could be a MT6752 chipset with an octa core 2GHz, or an MT6732 chipset with a 1.5GHz processor. Although we donât have any information regarding the internal memory, what we know is that the phone will run on the Android L OS.
Cameras
The Xiaomi Mi 4 sports a 13MP Sony rear camera with autofocus, and a front camera of 8MP, great for selfies. It seems that the Nexus 6 will follow this pattern, as well.
Connectivity
Both phones support NFC, 4G LTE, WiFi and Bluetooth.
Prices
The 16GB Xiaomi Mi 4 is priced at 460 dollars and it can be purchased from xiaomishop.com. When the Nexus 5 came, its price was around 500 dollars. Maybe the Nexus 6 will have the same price or possibly higher, considering that it will come with a fingerprint scanner.
