Xiaomi Mi 4 vs Amazon Fire Phone Price, Specs and Features

Pricing and Display

Xiaomi is known for paying close detail to their devices, so we’re not surprised that the handset shows off some great specs when it comes to display: an IPS LCD model measuring 5 inches that can render a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The pixel density is not low either, situated at 441 pixels per inch. The smartphone is quite cheap too, seeing how the 16 GB version is priced at around $320.00 and the 64 GB one at around $400.00.

The Amazon Fire Phone also comes with an IPS LCD display, but this one has only 4.7 inches and shows off a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The pixel density this phone has to offer is of 312 pixels per inch. What the Fire Phone has and the Mi 4 doesn’t, is a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for added protection against scratches. This device is quite pricy: you will find the 32 GB version at the price of $649.00.

Battery

The Wall Street Journal said in a report that Amazon disappointed in the battery test. The company declared that its handset can last up to one day of continuous usage, but it failed. As for the Xiaomi Mi 4, its Li-Po 3080 mAh battery unit lasts up to 36 hours of use.

Camera

Regarding the rear-facing camera, both handsets have the same specs: 13 MP camera with features like LED flash.

Regarding the front-facing camera, the Mi 4 has the upper hand with a beautiful 8MP camera, while the one on the Fire Phone has only 2.1 MP.

Hardware and Design

The Amazon Fire Phone is powered by a Kriat 400 processor: quad core working at 2.2 GHz that is paired up with a Snapdragon 800 chipset from Qualcomm and Adreno 330 graphics. The handset supports 2 GB of RAM and runs on Amazon Fire OS v3.5 + 3D Dynamic Perspective UI.

The Xiaomi Mi 4 is powered by a Krait 400 processor: quad core working at 2.5 GHz that is paired up with a Snapdragon 801 chipset from Qualcomm and Adreno 330 GPU. This device has 3 GB of RAM and it runs on Android v4.4.2 KitKat + MIUI.
