Sony Xperia Z1 Compact vs Huawei Ascend G6 – Top Prices and Specs Comparison

Today we thought we would compare two great phones that are on the market, to give readers some worthy options if they are on the look for a new handset. Keep reading to find out the differences between Sony’s Xperia Z1 compact and Huawei’s Ascend G6 to figure out for yourself which one is the best.

Sony Xperia Z1 compact

We’re always impressed with Sony’s Xperia series, and we think that the Z1 compact model is a great example about what we love with these devices. The operating system this handset runs on is Android KitKat.

Design & Display

When looking at the design of the device, we see a beautiful combo between metal and glass which makes the smartphone very sophisticated but it falls behind a little when it comes to shock resistant capabilities. The display seen on the Xperia Z1 compact is an IPS LCD model that showcases a pixel density of 342 pixels per inch. We see a slight misbalance when it comes to brightness, but overall the display gives some nice visuals.

Specifications, Camera & Battery

The processor that powers Sony’s device is a quad core working at 2.2 GHz that is paired up with a Snapdragon 800 chipset from Qualcomm. The handset supports 2048 MB of RAM and 16 GB of ROM (if you choose to use a microSD card, you can expand the internal memory by up to 64 GB). The battery housed by the Xperia Z1 compact has a capacity of 2300 mAh.

Where the Sony really impresses is the camera department: it comes with a beautiful 20.7 MP rear-facing camera. The front-facing camera does not disappoint either, being a 2MP model.

You will find the Sony Xperia Z1 compact at the price of $421.99.

Huawei Ascend G6

We very much like the Huawei Ascend G6 handset as well – the device could be called a cheaper but better version of the Ascend P6, as we’ll see further from the specs it comes with. Let’s see what exactly the Ascend G6 brings to the table and if it’s worth the buy.

Design & Display

Huawei is very sneaky, if we may say so, when it comes to design: the device looks like it has a metallic exterior case, but actually the Ascend G6 is covered by plastic which makes it very convenient in terms of weight and portability. The display seen on the smartphone measures 4.5 inches and shows off a lesser pixel density of 245 pixels per inch.

Specifications, Camera & Battery

The processor that powers the Ascend G6 is a quad core working at 1.2 GHz which is paired up with the Snapdragon 400 chipset from Qualcomm. This device houses a battery unit with a capacity of 2000 mAh.

As for camera, we get a primary camera of 8MP with features like autofocus, back illumined sensor and LED flash. The secondary camera has a good 5MP.

If you decided that the Huawei Ascend G6 is the smartphone for you, you will find this handset at the price of $234.00.
