Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 vs. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 – Specs Comparison

Samsung realized this notion in its Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablet. However, the tablet would be sold alongside the company’s 10-inch variant, the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition. The Note 10.1 2014 edition is a quality offering from Samsung Electronics.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition is a slightly bigger tablet in comparison to other tablets available in the market. Samsung’s arch rival, Apple Inc.’s iPad Air, is also slightly smaller than the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition. The Exynos 5 Octa 5420 chipset along with a 1.9GHz quad core processor, powers the Note Pro 12.2 tablet. The processor is coupled with a RAM of 3GB. The tablet runs on the Android operating system, version 4.4.2.

The Note 10.1 2014 edition comes in a lower price segment. The tablet is equipped with state of the art features and superb display. The tablet has a 10.1-inch screen, with a higher resolution and a superior pixel density of 299-ppi. The tablet is more compressed and light in weight in comparison to the Note Pro 12.2 tablet. However, both the tablets come with the S Pen Stylus feature.

Specs and Camera

In terms of specs, the tablet runs on the Android based version 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system, which lacks an option for upgradations. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip having a quad core 2.3GHz processor, powers the Note 10.1 2014 tablet. The Note 10.1 2014 edition, offers the users with reliable performance, as compared to the Note Pro 12.2 tablet.

The Note 10.1 comes with a RAM of 3GB, expandable memory of up to 64GB, similar to that of Note Pro 12.2 tablet. However, the Note 10.1 2014 edition tablet comes in internal memory variants of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. The Note 10.1 has an 8220 mAh battery unit.

In terms of camera, the tablet comes equipped with similar features as that of the Note Pro 12.2.

Verdict

The latest release by the company, the Note 10.1 2014 edition, can be availed for lesser price. The tablet comes with a superior sound system, display features and processor capacity as compared to the Note Pro 12.2 tablet. Most other features are similar between the two tablets. However, purchasing the Note 10.1 is a sound decision.
