Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs Samsung Galaxy S4 vs Galaxy S5 – Which One Turns To Be The Best?

The Samsung Galaxy S5 includes the latest processor from QUALCOMM. The Galaxy S5 comes with a processor called MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 at 2.5GHz. Besides, the Galaxy Note 3 houses a MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 named processor which comes at 1.7GHz and the Samsung Galaxy S4 is equipped with APQ8064T Snapdragon 600.

The Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4 are similar in RAM at 2GB, while the Note3 has 3GB of RAM. The Galaxy S4 has another version that is powered by Samsung’s in house processor Exynos 5410 at 1.6 GHz and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes with Exynos 5420 of 1.9 GHz.

The Galaxy S5 has internal storage of 16 GB and 32 GB, while the Note 3 and Galaxy S4 are accessible in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB. All three smartphones have Micro SD memory expandable up to 128 GB for Galaxy S5 until 64 GB for the other two.

Galaxy S5 runs on Android 4.4 OS Jelly Bean, whereas the Galaxy Note3 is preinstalled with Android 4.3 OS Jelly Bean and the Galaxy S4 runs on Android 4.2.2 OS Jelly Bean. Currently, Samsung Galaxy Note3 and Galaxy S4 have been given the Jelly Bean upgrade.

Both Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy Note3 have the same primary camera with 13 MP together with LED flash and auto-focus option. Samsung Galaxy S5 primary camera has been upgrade a lot to a 16 MP shooter, also aside to LED flash with auto-focus option.

The primary camera of Galaxy S5 has 4K video-recording, then Samsung Galaxy Note3 with 2K, whereas the Galaxy S4 has FHD 1080p video-recording. All three smartphones are having similar secondary cameras with 2 MP – shooter.

When it comes to network connectivity, the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 comes with a processor named 3G Exynos 5 and another 4G LTE variant called Snapdragon 800. Thus, the Galaxy S5 only comes in 4G LTE variant. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is using a Nano SIM card, which is similar to the iPhone 5S, while the Galaxy Note3 and S4 are having Micro SIM supports.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 comes as the thinnest between the three ones. It has 7.9 mm thickness, 8.1 mm from the Galaxy S5 and Note 3 with 8.3mm. The dimensions for the three smartphones are: Galaxy S5 with 142×72.5×8.1mm, Galaxy S4 136.6×69.8×7.9mm and Galaxy Note 3 is 151.2×79.2×8.3mm.

It seems that Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the bigger one. It weighs 168 g., and then the Galaxy S5 has 145 g. while Galaxy S4 comes at 130 g. The Galaxy S5 houses a 2,800 mAh battery unit, Galaxy Note3 3,200 mAh whereas the Galaxy S4 has a 2,600 mAh of battery.

However, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy S5 comes brutally similar by their hardware except the processor and the camera versions. Galaxy S5 features water and dust resistance, also the device offers a finger-print on the menu button.
