Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 vs Lenovo Vibe X – Comparing Design and Display

Lenovo Vibe X has been in the news recently.

The smartphone is expected to be upgraded with Android latest version 4.4 KitKat operating system. The latest version of the Android operating system comes with superior app compatibility, bug fixes and security enhancements. The latest upgrade would enable the smartphone to offer optimum performance, because of its updated UI, with a considerably lesser number of icons and unblemished call-receiving interface. The upgrade would enhance the Lenovo Vibe X smartphones power manager, catering superior battery life. The company has been conducting initial tests, which have shown considerably improved performance, as claimed by the company. The upgrades were supposed to be made available to the masses in a phased manner, initiating from the end of the month of May.

The Vibe X was the first smartphone available in the market, with a waistline of 6.9mm. It was also the first offering by the company in their premium series. The release of Vibe Z, created quite a stir in the smartphone market. However, the rumored update of latest Android KitKat to the Vibe X smartphone would be a boon to potential buyers searching for Android based smartphones at a reasonable price.

In comparison, the Galaxy Grand 2 comes with a plethora of mid-range functionalities. The Grand 2 has made the company get a firm footing in the smartphone arena for some time now. Regardless, no smartphone is without competition. The Galaxy Grand 2 is no exception at all. The Lenovo Vibe X comes with an array of features that are in direct competition to the Galaxy Grand 2 smartphone. Design

In terms of design, both the smartphones come with a comfortable grip. The curved edges and round sides of both the handsets make them easier to hold and operate. The Grand 2 is a tad bigger than the Vibe X handset, enabling the user with better portability options. The Vibe X is much sleeker than the two handsets, and has slim bezels, giving the smartphone a high-end premium feel and appearance. In comparison, the Grand 2’s artificial leather casing provides the smartphone with a chic look. However, both these smartphones are robust, designed especially to survive day-to-day hardships.

The sleek looks, along with the lighter weight of the Vibe X, makes it better-looking of the two handsets. Overall, the two handsets are more or less at par with each other.

Display

In terms of display, the Galaxy Grand 2 offers the potential buyer with a decent 5.2-inch display, perfect for multimedia entertainment. The display, having HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, offers a pixel density of 280-ppi. The screen offers crisp and sharp images.

In comparison, the Vibe X comes equipped with a 5-inch IPS LCD screen, with a superior resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, offering better pixel density of 441-ppi. The screen offers lively, bright and richly detailed colors to the potential user.

The Lenovo Vibe X proves to be a better-looking handset, in comparison to the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 smartphone.
