Nokia XL (Dual-Sim) vs Nokia Lumia 730 (Dual-Sim) – Release Date with Specs and Price Comparison

We have been hearing something about a so called ‘selfie phone’ from Nokia, the Nokia Lumia 730 to be exact. There are rumors about an August release date in Vietnam, so we are expecting the phone to hit the markets very soon. The other phone we’re talking about today is Nokia XL. Let’s see the differences between the two handsets and figure out if the Nokia Lumia 730 will actually be worth the buy.

Display

The Nokia XL comes with an IPS LCD display measuring 5 inches. This handset can render a screen resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and it holds a pixel density of 187 pixels per inch. The design of the handset follows the basic design of the Nokia X handset: plastic body, silver lining and no rough edges.

The Nokia Lumia 730 will come with a smaller 4.7 inches display, but this one will render a 720p screen resolution. The pixel density is also better, at 312 pixels per inch. As for design, we don’t hear any speculations about what the smartphone will look like, but we can tell you how its predecessor (Nokia Lumia 630) looks like: plastic body, vivid colors and highlighter shade which gives it a clean-cut look.

Hardware, Software and Memory

The processor that powers the Nokia XL is a Cortex A5: dual core working at 1.0 GHz which is paired up with the Snapdragon S4 chipset from Qualcomm. This device supports 768 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal memory (if you choose to use a microSD card, you can expand this memory by up to 32 GB). The operating system this handset runs on is Android + Nokia X 1.0 user interface.

The processor that will power the Nokia Lumia 730 is a Cortex A7: quad core working at 1.2 GHz which will be paired up with the Snapdragon 400 chipset from Qualcomm. This device will support 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory, which is more than what the XL has to offer. The operating system this device will run on Windows Phone 8.1.

Camera and Battery

Regarding the primary camera, the Nokia Lumia 730 comes with a better 6.7 MP camera with features like the Carl Zeiss lens. The camera seen on the Nokia XL is a 5 MP one with LED flash.

Remember that we told you the Lumia 730 is also called the ‘selfie phone’? That it is because of its excellent 5 MP secondary camera. The Nokia XL comes with only a 2 MP one.

As for battery unit, both devices have Li-Ion models with a capacity of 2000 mAh.

Price

If you want to buy Nokia’s XL smartphone, you can find this handset at the price of $180.00.

The Nokia Lumia 730 is rumored to cost around 5.000.000 VND in Vietnam, which roughly translates to $236.00.
