Motorola Moto G2 vs Sony Xperia C3 – Best Features and Specs Comparison

The upcoming Motorola Moto G’s follower, the Moto G2 (or the Moto G+1) will be officially announced by the company in a peculiar event on the 4th of September. Another upcoming smartphone, Sony Xperia C3 (as known as the world’s best selfie phone) was announced this July. The budget-friendly Sony Xperia C3 will be available on the market in Q3 of 2014. For those who are interested in the two upcoming devices here is a short comparison between them.

Display Comparison

The Sony device feature a display of 5.5inches (IPS LCD), phablet alike, and a screen resolution of 720x1280pixels with pixel density at 267ppi, whereas, the Moto G2 will come out with a display of 5.0 inches and the same screen resolution as the Xperia phone.

The Xperia C3 device provides Triluminos technology for the display, which is similar to BRAVIA Engine 2 and top-notch Sony phones. This combo offers the mid-tier Sony Xperia C3 with better image and color reproduction. However, there aren’t any details available about the exterior of the Moto G2. According to the rumors and the liked pictures, the phone will feature a slim bezel compared to the anterior Moto G.

Memory

Both the smartphones comes packed with the same processor, a quad-core QUALCOMM Snapdragon 400 CortexA7, settled at 1.2GHz. Additionally, both are houses the same RAM of 1 GB.

The Xperia C3 will run on Android v4.4.2 OS KitKat, while the Moto G2 is awaited with a higher version of Android, 4.4.4 KitKat OS. Moreover, the Sony device houses 8 GB of in-built storage and the Moto G2 will come packed with 8 GB/16 GB of internal storage. Both the handsets support micro SD expandable. It is notable that the anterior model (the Moto G) doesn’t have the extinction of the memory function. Although, the Moto G 4G launched this year supports micro SD card port.

Battery and camera

The Sony Xperia C3 is bundled with a strong Li-Ion battery unit at 2500mAh, but we do not have the information about the Moto G2 battery specs at this moment. Thus, the Moto G of 2013 features a non-removable battery, Li-Ion of 2070mAh.

When it comes to camera, The Moto G2 will feature an 8MP primary unit, with LED flash and a 2MP front facing shooter. Meanwhile, The Sony Xperia C3 will have similar 8MP rear facing camera with LED flash and additionally an outstanding secondary shooter of 5MP. Amazingly, the Sony phone will also provide a frontal LED flash, which will make the phone the world’s best selfie device.

Also, the Sony Xperia C3 also features an 80 degree point view. Furthermore, selfies can be captured with different options, including a smile shutter function that enables the user to take selfie with just a smile and the double tapping on the rear panel of the phone.

Others

Both the phones support micro SIM and dual SIM.

The Moto G2 will provide an interesting replaceable back panel, according to Motorola Moto Maker.

Besides the normal connectivity functions, the Xperia C3 supports NFC and for the new Moto we do not know at this moment.
