Motorola Moto E vs Micromax Canvas Fire A104 – Price and Specs Comparison

The Micromax Canvas Fire A104 was specially released for the Indian market and it’s totally different from the Canvas Fire A093 model. Likewise the Moto E, it’s a dual SIM smartphone, but it has a more powerful processor and a better camera. The Moto E has advantages as well, but we’ll let you find out yourselves if the Motorola handset has better specs and features. Let the battle begin!

Displays and sizes

The Canvas Fire A104 is a little bit bigger, having a 4.5inches TFT FWVGA display which supports a resolution of 854x480pixels and 218ppi. The Moto E, on the other hand, has a 4.3inches display with a resolution of 540×960 pixels and 256ppi. Plus, it’s protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

As for the dimensions, the Micromax handset is measuring 136×67.4×9.55mm and it weights 140 grams, while the Moto E is 2grams heavier and it measures 124.8×64.8×12.3mm.

Hardware and OS

The Micromax Canvas A104 is faster thanks to its quad core 1.3GHz processor based on the MediaTek MT6582 chipset and using a Mali-400 MP2 GPU, while the Moto E comes with a dual core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 processor, which teams up with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset and an Adreno 302 GPU.

Both of the smartphones have 4GB of internal memory, which expandable to 32GB if you buy a microSD card.

The operating system of the Canvas Fire A104 is Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the same as Moto E’s OS, but this one is upgradeable to the 4.4.4 version. They both host 1GB of RAM.

Cameras

Both of the smartphones have 5MP shooters, but they have different features. The
Micromax Fire A104’s camera has autofocus and Full HD recording, plus a VGA front camera, while Moto G’s primary camera has HDR, geo tagging and panorama and there is no front camera.

Batteries

The Micromax A104 is equipped with a 1900mAh battery, which lasts 6 hours when talking on 3G, and 180 hours in stand by mode. The Motorola phone has a non-removable Li-Ion 1980mAh battery which provides up to 8 hours of talk time on 3G.

Connectivity

Both of the phones support 3G, GRPS, EDGE, FM Radio and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. The Canvas Fire A104 features Bluetooth 3.0, while the Moto E has the 4.0 version.

Prices

These smartphones are extremely cheap. Believe it or not, the Micromax Canvas Fire A104 costs only 115 dollars, while the Moto E is priced at130 dollars.
