Apple will most likely unveil their iPhone 6 on September 9 as expected, but the phone will be released a week later, and that will happen only for the 4.7inch variant as the 5.5inch variant will hit the stores a few months later.
In concordance with MacRumors, the 5.5inch variant of iPhone 6 is expected to come in December 2014 and the delay is caused by the complex manufacturing issues.

The design
According to a report from 9to5Mac posted by Mark Gurman, there is no doubt that Apple will come with two size variants of iPhone 6. Gurman obtained a new set of photos from Gizmobic where the 4.7inch variant is side by side with the iPhone 5S.
In the photo it was noticed that the iPhone 6 will be thinner, bigger and the design will slightly change, since it will come with curved corners. As for the sapphire glass cover, it will come only on the 5.5inch variant and in a limited edition. According to a report from DigiTimes, GTA Advanced Technologies will be able to deliver only 2million sapphire covers until the end of 2014. In the same report it said that the bigger size variant of iPhone 6 will be released in late 2014 or early 2015.
128GB ROM from Samsung?
Last week, in a report from G4Games it is said that iPhone 6 will come with a 128GB of internal storage. This week, in a report from DigiTimes, we were notified that Apple will get a part of the ROM requirements from Samsung, pointing that some of the iPhone 6 models will most likely have internal memories created by Samsung.
Charging
Apple has promised in the past that recharging of the upcoming iPads and iPhones will improve and the first device that will receive this new feature will be the iPhone 6. According to 9to5Mac, the upcoming iPhone will have a more durable Lightning cable.
100 million iPhones
A report from DigiTImes claims that peripheral chip suppliers in Asia are preparing to assembly around 100 million new iPhone units in Q3/Q4 2014. This information is backed up by earlier projections from analysts who said that over 120 million iPhones will be manufactured in the same period of time. However, they included the iPhone 5S and 5C in that report, so that’s why they got 20million more.
The resolution of Retina display
In concordance with MacRumors, both of the iPhone 6 variants will come with Retina screen resolution. The 4.7inch variant will have a resolution of 1334x750pixels and the 5.5inch variant will support 2208×1242.
The Apple observer John Gruber offered these display specifications and said that they are optimized with iOS 8 codes.
Global distribution
According to ZDNet, China Telecom already confirmed that iPhone 6 will be released on main markets around the world. The same report says that the device will reach the stores in China in unlocked format.
This being said it seems that the Chine and U.S. consumers will get their hands on the iPhone 6 at the same time and the date that this will happen on September 19, as announced before.
