Two of the biggest names in the smartphone industry, Apple Incorporated and Samsung Electronics, have been fighting it out for the top spot in the smartphone arena for a long time.
Both these arch rivals have offered the masses with state of the art products, since they made their first appearance in the mobile industry. Samsung has become a renowned name in the smartphone industry. However, in the tablet department, the company has emerged only after an initial struggle.
Pitching the two tablets against each other, let us determine which is a better tablet between the Apple iPad Air and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1.

With respect to design and display, Apple retains the top spot with exceptional build quality and breathtaking design. In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 has been criticized for extensive use of plastic in its products. Both tablets come with same screen space. However, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1-inch screen has an edge over the iPad Air’s 9.7-inch screen.
Comparing the two tablets with respect to quality, Apple’s iPad Air comes with a 1536×2048 pixels resolution. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 comes equipped with a resolution of 800×1280 pixels. Apple’s iPad Air provides the user with superior web browsing, video watching and gaming experience.

In terms of front facing camera, the iPad Air wins again with 1.2MP as compared to the VGA camera on the Samsung’s tablet.
