After you have spent long hours earning so much cash, customizing your character and have plenty of upgrades ready on your Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 console, it should be really tough to start afresh on Playstation 4 or Xbox One, right?
The same question had been lingering in the minds of most players worldwide and someone who just couldn’t keep the question to themselves blurted it out to Rockstar. The company is usually known for keeping silent all the time but this time they replied promptly, confirming that you will be able to save all your GTA Online progression which will automatically be transferred to your Playstation 4 console. Sounds great, isn’t it?
After all, it is really annoying to start all over again after having played the game for so long, for so many months because your character may not be as powerful as he is, if you are going to start from the beginning one more time. We do hope that this shouldn’t cause any issues because the new game is going to be next gen with improvised graphics, better world and exceptionally detailed character modeling.
How Transfer Made Possible?
Transferring content from an old generation game to a new one isn’t that easy but the thing is, GTA 5 was designed to be on all platforms right from the beginning. Even though, Rockstar took their own sweet time to make the announcement during E3 2014, months after its original release on PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles, they did know that new generation consoles are inevitable. The game may have new graphics, better codes and improved character modeling besides other impressive features, but the fact that it was planned allowed them to offer the ability to save games and transfer it without much difficulty.
The message was revealed by Rockstar games in their official Twitter account, which confirmed that if you are a Playstation 4 owner, all you have to do is buy the game for the new generation platform and sign in to your PSN account to get the job done. There’s more to this news because if there are players who wish to change to a completely new platform, along with their rankings and upgrades, they will be able to do so.
Cross Platform Transfers
GTA 5 also supports player ranking, stats and unlock transfers from Playstation 3 to Xbox 360 or from Xbox 360 to PC. This is something new to the gaming industry because allowing your progress to be shifted from a Sony console to a Microsoft console is great fun, especially if you are planning to upgrade to the PC version of the game. While the Grand Theft Auto series is known for its great open world game play, the new GTA Online introduced by Rockstar met with great reviews and is one of the most successful online ventures in recent times. It will be part of the game as soon as it gets released on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. A confirmed release date for GTA 5 has not been revealed yet but we hope that it does make it before 2014 and not in 2015.
