Tekken 7 Gets Debut Trailer, Full Reveal on July 25

Almost every gaming fan would have heard or most probably have played, Tekken, which is one of the most beloved franchises for over a decade now.

For the newbies, it is a fighting game set in a virtual land and is known for its realistic fighting moves. The powers are relatively less in the series compared to Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat where button smashing is mandatory. Recently, Namco Bandai Games, the creators of the series, announced Tekken 7, the next gen in the series, which is going to finally get launched on new generation consoles Xbox One and Playstation 4.

The debut trailer hardly shows anything, because it is just about a girl sitting in a prayer hall, who reveals that because of her, Heihachi has got all the power to fight against everyone and control them to his will. It gives a glimpse of all your favorite characters in a flash. The video is too quick and you might hardly recognize anyone, from the time given to go through those characters; but that was the design of the content anyway, because a full reveal has been announced to make its way on July 25, which is not far off. The lack of powers is one thing that made the franchise popular which is more about raw action and fighting skills. Players need that to survive and win every match without fail.

New Characters Expected

Developers at Namco Bandai clearly know their audience that they didn’t take the risk to remove any of the popular characters from the franchise so far. All the fan favorites including Law, Heihachi Mishima, Jin, Hwoarang, Bryan, Yoshimitsu and Eddy, among many others, are expected to make their comeback with Tekken 7. Compared to the previous generation games, this one will definitely be visually impressive, because the Xbox One and Playstation 4 consoles are much more powerful than their older generation counterparts. Game developers, have all the freedom they need, to push the games to their boundaries, especially when the new gen consoles have just come out and have all the raw power to be exploited, that will lead to an amazing game play experience.

The trailer does look good, but there is no game play revealed here, which will be done only during the Comic Con towards the end of the month of July. With the Evo 2014 fighting tournament, there have been fighting games all around the corner making their appearances. The Mortal Kombat X with Raiden game play was revealed just last week, during the finals of the Street Fighter tournament, while Tekken 7 has been confirmed now and there might be more coming up.

New Generation Graphics

Visually, Tekken 7 should be strongly appealing, but it has not been confirmed yet, whether it will have those interactive environments as they have introduced in Mortal Kombat X. The last gen title ‘Injustice Gods Among Us’ had a good environmental element to it and it offered a more engrossing experience for gamers and if Tekken could instill the same, it could easily continue to enjoy its crown as being the most hardcore fighting game of the decade.
