Sony did a great job with the release of Xperia Z1 Compact smartphone that encompasses all the power of its predecessor but comes in a compact version.
Sony’s compact version of the Xperia Z1 smartphone is readily available in the market and can be compared to the various other popular smartphones such as the Galaxy S4 Mini from Samsung. Sony outdid itself with the Xperia Z1 Compact smartphone. It is more than just another ‘mini’ handset that will not fade away into the darkness of small smartphones market.
However, let us compare the Xperia Z1 Compact and the Galaxy S4 Mini to enable the potential buyers make a well-informed decision.
Both the Xperia Z1 Compact and the Galaxy S4 Mini have designs similar to that of their elder siblings. Both come with similar specs and features as that of their predecessors respectively, if not, then a little more petite.

Performance and Storage
The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact outdoes the S4 Mini smartphone in performance.
The Z1 Compact has an enhanced RAM and double the amount of cores than the S4 Mini handset. Sony has a 2.2 GihaHertz quad core processor that comes with an additional 2GB RAM that is way ahead of the 1.7GHz dual core processor with 1.5GB RAM.
However, both devices run smoothly. It is the intensive gaming department where the extra cores mark the difference.
Storage is a problem for the Samsung smartphone. The S4 Mini has an internal memory of 8GB in comparison to the 16GB internal memory of the Z1 Compact smartphone.

People looking for high-end experience should opt for Z1 Compact and those willing to compromise at decent experience for inexpensive price can purchase the S4 Mini smartphone.
