You can use an existing Skype account that you have on your PC or create a new account for your mobile device. Download the application from the play store on your device and sign in or sign up. If you already have a Skype account, you just enter your name and your password and sign in. For signing out, just tap on the icon on the upper right part of the screen. However, if you sign out, you cannot sign in automatically when you start the app. This feature offers you better privacy. Yet you can select the Sign in automatically in Settings, which will automatically sign you in when you open the app.

Skype regularly releases updates introducing enhanced features and fixing bugs. It is generally set by default to automatically update itself to the newest version.
