WE decided to compare the Grand 2 and the Note 3, two amazing devices which would look great in your hands. The Note 3 is much more advanced than its sibling and we’re sure that you’d make sacrifices to get your hands on this model.
Displays and sizes
The Galaxy Grand 2’s display is TFT and has the size of 5.25inches and a resolution of 720x1280pixels. The Galaxy Note 3 is considered a phablet because it has a huge screen of 5.7inches, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and it renders a resolution of 1080x1920pixels.
The Grand 2 is weighting 163grams and it has these dimensions: 146.8×75.3×8.9mm. The Galaxy Note 3 is 5grams heavier and it measures 151.2×79.2×8.3mm
Hardware and OS
Galaxy Grand 2 comes with a Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400 chipset + Adreno 305 GPU and it’s powered by a Quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 CPU. The Note 3 comes in three variants: 3G (N9000), LTE (N9005) and Dual Sim (N9002). So the N9005 and N9002 variants are powered by a Quad-core 2.3GHz Krait processor and have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset + Adreno 330 GPU, while the N9000 variant is powered by the Quad-core 1.9GHz Cortex-A15&quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 processor, it has an Exynos 5 Octa 5420 chipset and Mali-T628 MP6 GPU.
Both of these devices run on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS, but the Note 3’s OS can be upgraded to the 4.4.2 KitKat version and has 3GB of RAM, while its sibling has 1.5GB of RAM.
Cameras
The Grand 2 has a primary camera of 8MP (autofocus and LED flash) and a secondary camera of 1.9MP. The Note 3 superior cameras: a 13MP primary one and a 2MP secondary one.
Batteries
The Grand 2 has a 2600mAh Li-Ion battery which lasts 17hours when talking on the phone, or 370hours in stand by mode. The Note 3 has a 3200mAh Li-Ion battery which allows you to talk 21hours and it lasts 420hours in stand by mode.
Prices
The Galaxy Grand 2 Duos costs 310 dollars on amazon.com. The Note 3 N9000 costs 541 dollars and the N9002 variant costs 949 dollars.
