Usually, in most of the comparison battles, Samsung humiliates its opponents. Not this time! Nokia’s Lumia 630 beats the Galaxy S Duos 2 in terms of display, hardware, internal storage and battery. But, the Galaxy S Duos 2 outpaces Nokia’s model in terms of RAM and it has a secondary camera. But we’ll let you find out more about these devices and decide which one is worth buying.
Displays and sizes
The Lumia 630 has a bigger screen, which is an IPS LCD with the size of 4.5inches. Nokia’s model supports a resolution of 854x480pixels and 218ppi. The Galaxy S Duos 2’s display is only 4inches, it’s TFT and it supports a resolution of 800×480 and 233ppi.
As for the dimensions, the Lumia 630 is visibly bigger, measuring 129.5×66.7×9.2mm and it weighs 134grams. The Galaxy S Duos 2 is measuring 121.5×63.1×10.6mm and it weighs 16grams less.
Hardware and OS
The Lumia 630 Dual is powered by a Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor (clocked at 1.2GHz) and has Adreno 305 GPU + 8GB of internal memory, expandable up to 128GB. The Galaxy S Duos 2 comes with a 1.2GHz BCM dual-core processor and the GPU is Broadcom VideoCore IV. This device has 4GB of RAM, but it’s expandable up to only 64GB.
The Lumia 630 runs on the Windows Phone 8.1 OS with only 512MB of RAM, while the Galaxy S Duos 2 comes loaded with the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and has 768MB of RAM.
The Lumia 630 sports a 5MP rear camera (with 720p video capture and autofocus). The Galaxy S Duos 2 has two cameras: a 5MP rear camera (with 720p video capture, LED flash and autofocus) and a VGA front camera.
The Lumia 630 has a better battery – 1830mAh. The Galaxy S Duos 2 comes with a 1500mAh battery.
