Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 vs. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 – Comparing Specs and Price

Samsung has been very regular with releasing its updated smartphones in the mobile market.

The Korean company is the unprecedented king in the mobile industry, when it comes to smartphones. However, other companies such as Apple, HTC, Microsoft and LG cater the Korean giant with serious competition. In the last few years, Samsung had launched a plethora of smartphones with updated features and specs. These smartphones are designed, keeping in mind, the needs of the common masses.

Samsung Electronics released the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 recently. The device is a larger version of its previously released Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 smartphone, the reason being, a plethora of similarities that these smartphones encompass. The Note Pro 12.2 and the Note 10.1 2014 edition have common features such as dual band Wi-Fi, 8MP and 2MP rear and front respective cameras, pressure sensitive S Pen and Bluetooth 4.0. These two devices also come equipped with 3GB RAM and the 1.9GHz Exynos 5 Octa CPU. The design of these two devices also matches with each other. The faux leather backs, made from plastic, come in two color options – white and black.

Apart from the similarities, these devices have few differences as well. The major difference is the size and the price difference.

Size

The key difference is in terms of the display size. The Note Pro 12.2 comes equipped with an enormous 12 inches screen with a pixel density of 247-ppi. However, the 10.1 inches screen of the Note 10.1 2014 edition has superior pixel density at 299-ppi.

The Note Pro 12.2 weighs 0.700kg that makes it heavier than the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition.

Price

The Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 and the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition come with an array of features. Therefore, the price of these two devices would not be affordable for some people. The Note Pro 12.2 with a 32GB RAM variant is priced exorbitantly at $750. For a similar spec, the Note 10.1 2014 edition can be made available for $599. For people who can afford to shell out some money; the 64GB storage variant of the Note Pro 12.2 is made available for $850. However, the 16GB variant of the Note 10.1 2014 edition is priced at $550, for the masses who can only spend less.

Battery

The Note Pro 12.2 comes equipped with bigger battery of 9500 mAh in comparison to the 8220mAh battery unit of the Note 10.1 2014 edition. However, due to bigger screen, the Note Pro 12.2 has less battery life than the Note 10.1 2014 edition.

Both are excellent devices with similar features and specs. Apart from the price and size difference, other differences are very negligible between the two devices.
