These smartphones have medium sizes and excellent specs and features, satisfying every consumer who’s looking for an affordable device. But HTC and Samsung had to make some compromises and neglected some aspects, in order to keep the prices low. So, let’s take a look at their specs.
Displays
The HTC One V comes with a Super LCD 2 display of 3.7inches, which supports a resolution of 480x800pixels. The Galaxy Ace Plus has a slightly smaller display (HVGA) of 3.65inches, and the resolution has been decreased to 480x320pixels. The One V supports 252ppi, while the Galaxy Ace Plus supports only 158ppi. So, the winner is clearly the HTC One V.
Sizes
The One V has an aluminum body, it’s slim and measures 120.3×59.7×9.2mm, while its weight is 115grams. The Galaxy Ace Plus has a plastic body and its dimensions are: 62.5×114.7×11.2mm, weighting 114grams. Because it’s slimmer and has a more elegant look, the One V is the winner.
Hardware
There’s not much of a difference between both phones’ processors, as the HTC One V come with a 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon CPU, while the Galaxy Ace Plus is powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor. As for the GPUs, the HTC device is equipped with an Adreno 205, while the Galaxy Ace Plus has a superior Adreno 220, although you won’t notice the difference in terms of graphical acceleration.

Both of the phones come with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage – expandable up to 32GB.
OS
The HTC One V came loaded with Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS and HTC Image Sense 4.0 UI. The Galaxy Ace Plus runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, so the HTC is advantaged.
User Interfaces
The Galaxy Ace Plus comes with Samsung’s TouchWiz User Interface, with no improvements. HTC’s Sense 4.0 offers you the possibility to take videos and photos simultaneously; you have Data Usage in detailed, Wifi Direct, Bluetooth HDP, Face Unlock and wireless HDMI connection to your digital TV. The winner is? Obviously, the HTC One V.
Cameras
Both of the phones have a 5MP rear camera with a 2592x1944pixels resolution, and you can record HD videos @30 fps with 720p. HTC’s camera has a feature called Image Sense, with which you can obtain a better picture quality for your images. Other features are: LED flash, BSI Sensor, autofocus, dedicated imaging chip and geo tagging. Samsung’s camera has LED flash, and the videos are recorded at a resolution of 640x480pixels. The other features are: Panoramic Photo, Image Editor, Face and Smile Detection, Geo-tagging and autofocus.
