The release of Moto X, by Motorola, was hyped with rumors regarding its low price launch.
The rumor regarding the low price of the device was in order to contend with the Nexus series manufactured by LG Electronics. However, that was not the case in reality. Motorola released Moto G, the successor to Moto X, in November 2013. The device aimed to shake things up in the mobile market with a launch price at $299.99.
