iPhone 5S vs. Samsung Galaxy S5 – Specifications and Features Compared

However, the S5 has a superior pixel density in comparison to that of iPhone 5S.

Processor and Memory

The S5 has Snapdragon 801 chip that tags along a 2.5 GHz quad core processor. The CPU is paired with a RAM of 2GB. The processor is just a step below the fastest in the industry, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset. In comparison, the A7 64-bit chipset that has been introduced for the first time in the industry comes with a RAM of 1GB. The iPhone 5S comes with an internal memory storage capacity of 16GB, similar to that of the S5. However, the S5 comes equipped with an external memory card slot for memory expansion.

Interface

The S5 runs on Android version 4.4 KitKat operating system and comes equipped with plentiful functionalities. In comparison, the Apple iPhone 5S has an iOS 7 that is highly user friendly.

Both these smartphones come with fast processors, good displays, offer lag-free app and interface experience. In case, you are up for extra features provided by the Samsung, the S5 would be an apt choice, unless you prefer to own a smartphone with leaner and compact chassis, like the iPhone 5S.
