Grand Theft Auto 5 was and it’s still a great game and it seems that Rockstar is continuously improving it. We heard some rumors according to which GTA 6 is already in development and the fans are anxious to get their hands on the new sequel. However, Rockstar, the developer of Grand Theft Auto”, did not confirm any of these rumors.
DJ Whoo Kid talked about his music from video games, in an interview for Ballerstatus adding that the new Grand Theft Auto sequel will take place in New York, again. DJ Whoo Kid somehow gave a “nod” to the rumors about GTA 6 taking place in “Liberty City”, and we all know that Liberty City was based upon New York City in a previous version of the GTA.
Leslie Benzies, the lead developer of GTA, told Develop back in October 2013 that his team has “45 years worth of ideas” which they will use. Benzies also added that he doesn’t know how GTA VI will look like, but the team is giving free rein to their imagination.
We all know that the “Grand Theft Auto” game was a big hit, and for example, GTA 5, which was released in September 2013, 24 hours after its launch, the game made 800 million dollars. That’s about 11.21 million copies sold in less than one day and three days later, GTA 5 made more than 1 billion dollars.
Rockstar confirmed that GTA 5 will be launched for the next-generation consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and for PC as well.
