Last year, the GTA 5 was released worldwide, but now we all are focused on the upcoming GTA 6.
Shortly after Rockstar announced the GTA 5 coming for the next-generation consoles Xbox One and PlayStation 4 at the E3 2014, many rumors were spread all over the internet about the GTA 6, the next sequel of this popular franchise. However, Rockstar, the company which created the Grand Theft Auto series, did not reveal anything about GTA 6, and didn’t infirm these rumors either. At the same time, they did not say anything that it would possibly suggest that they will end this popular series with GTA 5. Leslie Benzies, the president of Rockstar North, revealed that they have 45 years worth of ideas at this moment about GTA, but they focus at the moment on GTA Online.
GTA 6 will most likely take place in New York
Many rumors suggest that the action from the GTA 6 game will take place in Liberty City, the “virtual” New York City. Some of you might remember that GTA 4’s action was set in Liberty City, which was a big hit. Some other reports say that the franchise will finally leave the US shores, since the company previously suggested that the game’s action might not necessary “stay” in the US. Some other locations that could be set for GTA 6 are: Brazil, London, Paris or Los Angeles.
It was reported that GTA 5 was the most expensive video game until now, costing around 265 million dollars to develop and promote it. However, it seems to pay off, since we know how popular this game is and not to mention that it sold over 33 million copies worldwide. And keep in mind that the game has not been released yet for the next-generation consoles Xbox One and PlayStation and for Windows PC.
GTA 6, probably released in 2017
GTA 6 will most likely be released in 2017, but only for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. There were some strange rumors that GTA 6 could be called “Return to Vice City”, but those are probably false speculations. Rockstar will surely give us a few hints about GTA 6 such as: its name and release date.
