Are you tired from your old messaging apps that you often find yourself searching for a new app to try?

Maybe you’re looking for an app that can bring something new in the way you converse with your friends. Fortunately, you don’t have to look hard because the app you’re looking for might be here this whole time. We’re talking about Google Hangouts. This is a free cross-platform message app you can choose to connect with your loved ones.

Free to Download and Use

What makes it stand out even better compared to other messaging apps is that you can still use the app even if you don’t own a smartphone. All you need is a computer and you can use the web version of Google Hangouts. This way, you don’t have to use up all your minutes on your mobile service because Google Hangouts is free to download and use. If you already have a Google + account, you don’t need to register a new account since you only need an existing Google account to start using this app.

Work Purposes

Google Hangouts is the perfect app to use for several purposes. Companies may use the app for work purposes since you can also share files using the app. It can also be used for free calls and video calls. Now, there’s no reason for you to miss an important meeting when you’re abroad. You can simply hold a video conference with your co-workers using Google Hangouts. This kind of app is cost-effective and more and more companies encourage their employees to use this, as a way of communication within the workplace.

Send Drawings to Your Friends

What if you’re just looking for a fun app that you and your friends can use to contact each other? What if you’re tired of the conventional free messaging and want a new way to talk with your friends? Google Hangouts may still hold the answer to your questions. Recently, Google Hangouts has added a new feature that allows you to send drawings to your contacts. If you remember the popular app called Draw Something, then you don’t have a long way to keep up with this feature. It allows you to doodle on a blank page which you can send to your friends.

Only Available in the Web Version

This feature also allows you to add annotations on a photo you wish to send someone. If you’re going to send someone a photo of a trip you took together, you can add an annotation and write the date of the trip, or if you just want to put a caption on a photo before sending it to a friend. The only drawback we find with this feature is that it’s only made available on the web version of Google Hangouts. It would be nice to know this feature is also added in the mobile version. However, if you want a change in your messaging app and want to replace it with something new, Google Hangouts is the better choice.
