As a player of Clash of Clans, the most important thing you should know is that the walls are your best friend. Try as much as possible to build and upgrade them as quickly as you can. Always aim at putting up these walls around the important stuff. A good example is on storage, defenses and the town hall. In case you do not have enough to cover up everything, put some of the unimportant things outside, so that the troops, raiding you, do not get squat for blowing up a builder shack or barracks.
Have the guts to attack someone who is on a higher level compared to you. This way, you are able to get more of their stuff. For example, you get 150% of someone’s resources if you attack a player who has a town hall and is two levels higher than you. You have to be very careful, though, as those players above you have pretty good defenses compared to you, as they are on a higher level.
Trophies are relative. This means that the trophies can come and go without really affecting the overall game that you are playing. The game is very competitive, and you are required to get as many trophies as possible. Some clans only allow you to have a specified number of trophies. However, if you get curb stomped quite often, try and lose about 200 trophies. This will result in you coming up against easier prey. It is contradicting that you also need to have about 1250 trophies so as to unlock an achievement, and this will give you 450 free gems.
The easiest way to find trophies is finding people who quit the game, especially at low levels. They have weak defenses, and this means you can beat them very easily.
It is very important to know how you are going to use your heroes. You can opt that they defend your village, or that they go on missions and raids with the other troops. If it happens that your heroes get knocked out, they tend to take a long time to regenerate. Therefore, if you need them for missions and raiding, you have to open their halter and free them from guarding so that they can sleep and get ready for raiding.
