The two devices offer a rich array of features, but at a much lower price than some of the products from mainstream companies like Samsung and Nokia.

Design & Display

The Titanium S9 features a 5.5 inch display while the Canvas Doodle 2 A240 comes with a 5.7 inch display.

One of the common issues with budget smartphones until now has been the lack of high resolution. Despite providing a large display, these phones tend to ignore the importance of resolution. In contrast, the Titanium S9 does not have the Wi-Fi direct feature present in the Micromax phone.

Camera

Despite being budget smartphones, it is surprising to see the Titanium S9 feature camera a 13 megapixel camera, while the Canvas Doodle 2 A240 comes with a 12 megapixel camera. Such high resolution cameras ensure that the features like autofocus and video recording are utilized properly. The Micromax phone offers additional aspects like image stabilization and dual LED flash, compared to the almost bare camera on the Titanium S9.

Performance

Performance is surprisingly good on both these phones due to quad core processors. The identical processors are rated at 1.2 GHz and they also feature the same GPU. The similarity extends to the RAM specifications as well where the two devices come with 1 GB of RAM.

The Titanium S9 is priced at around $250 while the Canvas Doodle 2 A240 will be slightly lower at $240 making them excellent value for money propositions.
