BlackBerry Z3 vs BlackBerry Z10 – Top Specs and Price Comparison

If you want to buy a smartphone from Blackberry but don’t know for which to go, here’s a comparison between two great handsets from the company: Blackberry Z3 and Blackberry Z10. Keep reading to see what differences there are between the two and which one would be the better fit for you.

We’d like to insert a side note saying that Blackberry made their first partnership ever with Foxconn – which has been Apple’s partner for quite some time now – in producing the Blackberry Z3. Let’s see what specs this device has compared to the Z10.

Display and Size

The Blackberry Z10 is equipped with a 4.2 inches screen that can render a resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels. The pixel density of this handset is of 356 pixels-per-inch, which is quite impressive for its screen. The device weighs 138 g and is 0.35 thick.
The Blackberry Z3 has a larger 5.0 inches IPS LCD screen that renders a lesser resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The device also has a smaller pixel ratio than the Z10, at 220 pixels-per-inch. While this device has a larger screen, we have to say that the imaging on the Z10 is better. This device is as well heavier (weight: 164 g) and thicker (0.36 inches) than its counterpart.
Hardware, Software and Memory

Blackberry’s Z10 features a Krait processor: dual core working at 1.5 GHz. The chipset that comes along is the Snapdragon S4 Plus from Qualcomm. This device has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory (expandable via microSD card by up to 64GB). The operating system for this device is Blackberry 10 (which can be upgraded to higher versions of the OS).
Blackberry’s Z3 has a Krait processor as well: a dual core working at 1.2 GHz. The processor is paired with a Snapdragon 400 chipset from Qualcomm. This device has lesser RAM (1.5 GB) as well as ROM (8GB). The internal memory can be expanded with the help of a microSD card by up to 32GB. The operating system for this device is the latest Blackberry 10.2.1.
Camera and Battery

The Z10 is better when it comes to camera: the handset features an 8MP primary camera with features like LED flash and a secondary camera of 2MP. The main camera on the Blackberry Z3 is a 5MP camera with LED flash, while the secondary camera has 1.1 MP. The Blackberry Z10 is tooled with a 1800 mAh battery unit which is estimated to last 10 hours of talking time or 312 hours of stand-by time. The Blackberry Z3 actually has a more powerful battery – a 2500 mAh one which lasts 15 hours of talking time and 389 hours of stand-by time.
