BlackBerry Z10 vs Sony Xperia M2 – Specs, Features and Price Comparison

If you’re looking to buy a new smartphone, we have here a comparison between two great options you should consider: Sony’s Xperia M2 and Blackberry’s Z10.

Display, Exterior and Size

We can see that Sony equipped the Xperia M2 with a TFT display that measures 4.8 inches and that can render a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. The Blackberry handset also comes with a plastic exterior case but this one looks slicker, with a rubber-like back. This device is lighter, weighing 138 grams but is a tad thicker, at 0.35 inches.

Sony equipped its smartphone with a quad core processor, a Cortex A7, that works at 1.2 GHz and that is paired up with a Snapdragon 400 chipset from Qualcomm. This device supports 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage capacity (expandable by up to 32GB via microSD card). The operating system the Sony Xperia M2 runs on is Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, which you can upgrade later on.

The processor that powers the Blackberry Z10 is a Krait: dual core working at 1.5 GHz that is paired up with the Snapdragon S4 Plus chipset from Qualcomm. This device comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory (expandable by up to 64GB via microSD card). The operating system the Z10 runs on is BlackBerry 10.x (which you can upgrade later on).

Camera and Battery

Sony equipped the Xperia M2 with an 8MP primary camera (with features like LED flash) and a VGA secondary camera. The handset houses a Li-Ion battery unit with a capacity of 2300 mAh.

On the other hand, Blackberry also equipped its handset with an 8MP primary camera (LED flash) but it actually provided the Z10 device with a better 2MP secondary camera. This device comes with a less powerful battery with a capacity of 1800 mAh.
