One of the best real life simulators, Sims is one franchise that certainly does not get old.
People have been playing this game for ages and they will continue to do so for a long, long time. With Sims 4, there is obviously some anticipation of newer game mechanics, and a lot of interesting add-ons. The good news is that Electronic Arts has finally decided to announce the release date of this larger than life game, at the next E3 conference.
EA’s producer Graham Nardone has announced that Sims fans will have more than one reason to be excited about EA’s presentation at the E3 2014. The first reason is that fans will finally find out Sim 4’s release date during the conference. Secondly, EA is also planning to share the trailer of the game, highlighting its new and improved gameplay.
The product page for The Sims 4 already has some exclusive game content and players are welcome to go to the store and check it out. The developers have also announced that players, who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game, will get the exclusive Animal Hats digital content for free. So the perks for Sims fans are already piling up. The Digital Deluxe Edition of the game is already available for pre-ordering; so if you haven’t ordered it already, now would be a good time to do it.
The Sims franchise has always had a very niche following of gamers who enjoy tactical simulation. It has no action and adventure components to it, but if you enjoy something like a Second Life, the Sims franchise will definitely work out for you. You can take control of playable characters and unfold their life right in front of you. You can do whatever you want with them, and they will be made better or worse for it. EA also offers a number of add on games, for the base game and you can use them to add more dimensions to the games. You can use the simulator to create your own worlds, your homes and ever your own sims and their relationships. It can be as complex or as simple as you want.
Perhaps the main charm of the game is that it makes you feel godlike. You create people and then live out their life. You can decide to make good or bad things happen to them. You can choose everything – from their facial features, to their zodiac signs and their likes and dislikes. The Sims 3 was a major leap from The Sims 2, and this time around, it feels as if The Sims 4 would be even better. At least the teaser implies so. If you are keen to find out what EA is planning for this edition of The Sims franchise, you will have to wait like the rest of us for the game to come out. Meanwhile, you can follow EA’s presentation at the E3 conference closely and watch out for what the developers have to say about your favorite game.
