Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 vs Galaxy Note 8 – Specificaitons and Price Comparison

For all the Samsung tablets fans out there we bring you today two very easy to use devices that come with powerful hardware and decent cameras. The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4’s HD screen supports more than 4 million pixels. The Note 8 was released last year, so its price was cut in order for the company to see it faster. It’s a tablet with potential and we’re sue you’d like it. But let’s take a look at both devices’ specifications, to see which one of them is better.

Displays and sizes

As the descriptions speak for themselves, you already know the sizes of these tablets’ displays. But what you don’t know is that the first model has a Super clear LCD screen that supports a resolution of 1600x2560pixels, while the other tablet has a TFT screen that renders a resolution of 800x1280pixels.

As for the other dimensions, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is measuring 219×128.5×7.2mm, weighting 331grams, while the Note 8 is 7grams heavier and it measures 210.8×135.9x8mm.

Hardware and OS

The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 comes with a quad core krait 400 processor (clocked at 2.3GHz) and the chipset is Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. There are two variants of internal memories: 16 and 32GB, each one being expandable up to 64GB.

The Note 8, on the other hand is slightly inferior, because it comes with a quad core cortex A9 processor (clocked at 1.6GHz), while the chipset is Exynos 4412. Like the Tab Pro 8.4, the Note 8 has two variants of internal memories with the same capacity, and they can be expanded up to 64GB.

Both of the tablets run on the Android platform and have 2GB of RAM, but on different versions: the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 runs on the KitKat OS and the Note 8 is loaded with the Jelly Bean OS.

Cameras

The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4’s primary camera is better because it has a resolution of 8M and features such as LED flash and focus. There is also a 2MP secondary camera, much more advanced than Note 8’s secondary camera – 1.3MP. The other tablet has a 5MP rear camera.

Batteries

Both of the tablets have non-removable batteries, but Tab Pro 8.4’s battery has a higher capacity – 4800mAh, which allows you to use it for approximately 11 hours – multimedia play, or to listen to music for 127 hours. The Note 8’s battery has a capacity of 4600mAh, allowing you to play 8 hours on it or to listen to music for 120 hours.

The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 16GB variant costs 330 dollars on amazon.com. The Note 8 16GB variant is 260 dollars.
