Hardware and Operating System
Samsung equipped its handset with a Krait 300 processor: a quad core working at 1.9 GHz. The chipset that comes in the package is a Snapdragon 600 APQ8064T from Qualcomm. The device supports 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (if you choose to use a microSD card, you can expand your memory by up to 64GB). The operating system for the S4 Active is the Android Jelly Bean.
Sony equipped its handset with a Krait processor as well: a quad core clocked at 1.5 GHz. The chipset that accompanies the device is either the MDM9215 or the APQ8064, both made by Qualcomm. The smartphone supports 2GB of RAM and has 16GB of internal storage (this memory is also expandable via microSD card by up to 64GB). The OS on the Xperia Z is the Android Jelly Bean.
If you’re looking for a smartphone with better camera features, between these two, the Xperia Z would be the best choice for you. It presents itself with a 13.1MP rear-facing camera (LED flash + autofocus) and a 2.2MP front-facing camera.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active has an 8MP rear-facing camera (LED flash + autofocus) and a front-facing camera of 2MP.
