Samsung Galaxy Note 4 vs LG G3 – Release Date & Specs

Both the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the LG G3 are smartphones produced by South Korean producers. Both are similar in some respects, with the same screen size of 5 inch display. The LG G3 will soon be available, whereas it is speculated that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be released sometime in September this year.

Display and Dimensions

The new smartphone from LG, LG G3 has a screen display size of 5.5 inches and a resolution of 1440 x 2560. This is the same size as the Note 3 from Samsung. The Note 4 from Samsung will have a slightly bigger screen at 5.7 inches with a 2K resolution. This is very suitable for a huge screen.

The LG G3 has dimensions of 5.76 x 2.94 x 0.35 inches and weighs 149 g, whereas there are no clear dimensions offered as yet regarding the Note 4. The Note 4 is expected to have certification that makes it dust and water-resistant.

Both the smartphones seem to be almost equal with respect to the display. LG G3 will have a Corning Gorilla Glass screen. Both the phones offer QHD displays and the resolution is the same on both of them. Content on both the phones will be displayed with equal brilliance.

Hardware and Software

The LG G3 is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, which is clocked at 2.3 GHz. The processor is very impressive and it will have a RAM of 3GB.

On the other hand, the Note 4 from Samsung will come with the 64 bit architecture with Snapdragon processor. Alternatively it will have the octa-core Exynos chip supported by 4GB of DDR3 DRAM. This hardware is based on the latest cutting edge technology. The users will get a very grand experience with this technology in place. These specifications on the Note 4 imply that the phone will be able to respond to the users’ commands very speedily. The phone will also be very energy-efficient. When comparing the heart of both the devices, it seems like the Note 4 is a sure winner.

As for software, the LG G3 operates on the Android 4.4.2 version, whereas the Note 4 will have the next generation OS from Android, known as the Lollipop.

Camera, Battery and Storage

The LG G3 will have a rear camera of 13 MP, whereas the Note 4 is expected to have a higher resolution rear camera of 20.7 MP. LG G3 camera will have optical image stabilization along with LED flash and autofocus. It will also offer sensitivity to light. LG G3 also has a front camera of 2.1 MP and a video recording ability of 1080p at 30 frames per second. The Note 4 camera also comes with the OIS sensor. The Note 4 also has a front camera of 5 MP. In addition, the camera of the Note 4 also uses ISOCELL technology. You can take great shots with the Note 4 camera even in low light conditions. The camera specs of the Note 4 are much ahead of the LG G3.

As for the battery capabilities, LG G3 will have a battery capacity of 3000 mAh, whereas Note 4 will have a bigger battery of 3600 or 3800 mAh. The LG G3 will be available in two variants, the 16GB and the 32GB. However, both the variants will have a microSD slot to expand storage up to a maximum of 64 GB. On the other hand, the Note 4 is a phablet that can offer storage of 128GB. It also has the usual variants of 16GB, 32GB as well as 64GB.

Seeing the specs, the Note 4 seems to have surpassed the LG G3.
