Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo vs Sony Xperia Z1 vs HTC One – Specs and Price Comparison

Planning on buying a new smartphone? What matters more to you: a fast processor, a good camera or a long battery life? Take a look at these three phones’ specs and decide which one suits your needs? Three of the most known tech giants come to your “aid” with some of their amazing devices: the Galaxy Note 3 Neo, Xperia Z1 and the HTC One.

Displays and sizes

The Galaxy Note 3 Neo is a massive phablet with a Super AMOLED screen that measures 5.5inches, but if you expect to come with a high resolution, than we’re sorry for shattering your hopes. It supports a resolution of 720x1280pixels. If you want a higher resolution, for example 1080x1920pixels, you can choose one of these smartphones: the Xperia Z1, with a 5inches TFT screen, or the HTC One, with a 4.7inches Super LCD3 screen.

The Galaxy Note 3 Neo is bigger, measuring 148.4×77.4×8.6mm and it weights over 162grams. The Xperia Z1 weights more – 170grams, but it’s slightly smaller than the the first device, measuring 144x74x8.5mm. The HTC One is smaller and lighter than both of its competitors, measuring 137.4×68.2×9.3mm and weighting 143grams.

Hardware and OS

The Galaxy Note 3 Neo is powered by a quad core 1.3GHz cortex A7&dual-core 1.7GHz cortex A15 processor and has an Exynos 5260 chipset. The internal memory is of 16GB and with a MicroSD card it can be expanded up to 64GB.

The Xperia Z1 has a superior processor – quad core krait 400, clocked at 2.2GHz, and the chipset is Qualcomm MSM8974 (Snapdragon 800). Like the first phone, the Xperia Z1 offers 16GB of internal storage – expandable also up to 64GB.

The HTC One is pretty fast with its 1.7GHz quad core krait 300 processor, coupled with the Qualcomm APQ8064T (Snapdragon 600 chipset). This phone has two variants of internal memories: 32 and 64GB, but you can’t expand them.

All three smartphones run on the Android Jelly Bean OS with 3GB of RAM.

Cameras

You can take decent photos with the Note 3 Neo which has an 8MP rear facing camera (LED flash and autofocus). Like the Sony Xperia Z1, has a 2MP secondary camera, but the other phone’s primary camera is more advanced – 20.7MP. The HTC One has primary camera of a 4MP, but the company used ultrapixel technology to increase pixels to 2 micrometers. The camera has other features such as LED flash, autofocus and image stabilization. The front camera is of 2.1MP.

Batteries

The Galaxy Note 3 Neo has a Li-Ion 3100mAh battery, while the Xperia Z1 and the HTC One have non-removable batteries. The Sony’s smartphone’s battery is Li-Ion and has the capacity of 3000mAh, while HTC’s phone’s battery is Li-Po and has the capacity of 2300 mAh.

Prices

You can find the Galaxy Note 3 Neo on amazon.com at the price of 389 dollars. The Xperia Z1 costs 452 dollars, while the HTC One 32GB variant has the same price as the Note 3 Neo.
