Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo vs Sony Xperia T2 Ultra – Features and Price Comparison

Whether you are a gamer or not you’d prefer to use a phablet instead of a smartphone or tablet, because of its bigger display that allows you to whatever you want on it. The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo’s displays aren’t small, or big. These Androids were released at the beginning of this year and they received many positive reviews, but we’ll compare them to see which one is better.

Display and sizes

These devices are similar to smartphones, only slightly bigger. While the Xperia T2 Ultra supports a resolution of 720x1280pixels on its 6-inch display (IPS LCD), the Galaxy Note 3 renders the same resolution, although its display (Supper AMOLED) is smaller, of 5.5 inches.

Almost 172grams is weighting the Xperia T2 Ultra, which ahs these dimensions: 165.2×83.8×7.7mm. The Galaxy Note 3 Neo weights almost 10 grams less, and its sizes are: 148.4×77.4×8.6mm.

Hardware and OS

The heart of the Xperia T2 Ultra is a quad core cortex A7 processor clocked at 1.4GHz and the Qualcomm MSM8928 (Snapdragon 400) chipset. The phablet has only one variant of internal storage, of only 8GB, which is expandable up to 32 GB.

As for the Galaxy Note 3 Neo, this device has a higher internal memory, double more exactly–16GB, also expandable by up to 64GB, while under the hood, it hides a quad core clocked at 1.3GHz and a dual core cortex A15 clocked at 1.7GHz processor. The chipset is an Exynos 5260.

We were mentioning in the introduction that both devices are Androids, and they run on the Jelly Bean version. But the first phablet has 1GB of RAM, while the other one has 2GB of RAM.

Cameras

The Xperia T2 Ultra is equipped with a 13MP rear camera (LED flash and autofocus) and a 1.1MP front camera, while the Galaxy Note 3 Neo has a less advanced primary camera of 8MP, while the secondary camera has a higher resolution, of 2MP.

Batteries

You can talk one day on 3G, or listen to music for 93 hours, on the Xperia T2 Ultra, which has a non removable battery with a capacity of 3000mAh. The Galaxy Note 3 Neo’s battery is replaceable and it has a higher capacity, of 3100mAh, allowing you to talk 18 hours, on 3G, or to listen to music for 64 hours.

Prices

365 dollars is the price of the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra, 4GLTE variant, on amazon.com, while the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo, 16GB variant, costs 400 dollars.
