Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 vs LG G Pro Lite – Specs and Price Comparison

Had enough of smartphones with small displays? Try a phablet, or buy both of these devices if you’re not decided which one is better. Choose the LG G Pro Lite, a budget phablet with a cool design and a long lasting battery, or opt for the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2, the improved successor of the Galaxy Grand, which is even cheaper than the G Pro Lite.

Displays and sizes

The G Pro Lite is literally a big-screen phone, and we’re sure you’d be impressed of the 5.5 inches IPS LCD display, although it has a lower resolution – of 540x960pixels. A higher resolution (720×1,280pixels) is rendered by Galaxy Grand 2’s 5.25 inches TFT
Display, but if you’re not very familiar with screen sizes, you won’t notice the big difference.

In terms of physical dimensions, the G Pro Lite is a bigger phone, measuring 150.2×76.9×9.4mm and it’s lighter, but not much compared to the Galaxy Grand 2. While the first device is weighting 161grams, the other is 2grams heavier and its sizes are 146.8×75.3×8.9mm.

Hardware and OS

One of the few things these phablets have in common is the fact that they both have 8GB of internal storage, and with a MicroSD card, you can expand their memories up to 64GB.

As for the hearts that keep alive these devices, we can say that the G Pro Lite is doing very well with the dual-core cortex A9 processor clocked at 1GHz and the Mediatek MT6577 chipset.

The Galaxy Grand 2’s processor will consume less battery because it’s a quad-core cortex A7 processor clocked at 1.2GHz. The chipset is Qualcomm MSM8226 Snapdragon 400.

Another thing these devices have in common: they’re both Androids that run on the Jelly Bean, but the G Pro Lite has 1Gb of RAM, while the Galaxy Grand 2 has 1.5GB of RAM.

Cameras

Both phablets have primary cameras of 8MP, with features like LED flash and autofocus, but the secondary camera on the G Pro Lite is of 1.3MP, while the front camera on the Galaxy Grand 2 is better, of 1.9MP.

Batteries

You can talk 14 hours, on 3G, on the G Pro Lite, which has a battery with a high capacity of 3,140mAh, while the Galaxy Grand 2’s battery has a lower capacity – 2,600mAh, but because the device has a quad core processor, the battery lasts longer, and you can talk up to 17 hours, on 3G, on the phone.

Prices
The LG G Pro Lite costs 263 dollars on amazon.com, while the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 is 50 dollars more expensive.
