How can we compare a smartphone that runs on the Android platform with a smartphone that runs on Apple’s OS? If we analyze their designs, we choose the iPhone 4 as a winner because it has a luxurious aspect, while the Galaxy Grand 2 is large and looks cheap because of the white/black plastic back cover. Displays and sizes
The Galaxy Grand 2 has a 5.25inches TFT screen that renders a resolution of 720x1280pixels, while the tiny iPhone 4 comes with a 3.5inches LED backlit IPS LCD screen that is capable of supporting a resolution of 640x960pixels, in case you would have bet that it supports a lower resolution.
Weighting 163grams, the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 is a monster compared to the “fragile” iPhone 4, which is weighting 137grams. The dimensions of the Galaxy Grand 2 are 146.8×75.3×8.9mm, while the iPhone 4 is measuring 115.2×58.6×9.3mm.
Harware
The massive Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 needs a powerful processor to run fast, and the 1.2GHz quad core processor is doing a good job. Its internal memory is of 8GB, but it’s expandable up to 64GB.
The iPhone has a 1GHz Cortex-A8 processor to power it up, and it comes with an Apple A4 chipset as well. The iPhone 4 comes in two variants of unexpandable internal storage: 16 and 32GB.
OS
When the iPhone was launched, it came loaded with on iOS 4, but it was upgraded to iOS v7.0.4 and later to iOS 7.0.5 (only the Chinesse and European iPhones). The device has only 512MB of RAM.
As for the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2, this device has 1.5GB of RAM and runs on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS, but it’s upgradeable to the 4.4 Kitkat version.
Cameras
The Galaxy Grand 2 has an 8MP primary camera (3264×2448 pixels resolution) with features such as LED flash and autofocus. The secondary camera is of 1.9MP.
The iPhone 5S has a similar 8MP primary camera with LED flash and autofocus, and the secondary camera is of 1.2MP.
