Nexus 5 vs Motorola Moto X – Top Specs and Price Comparison

In the battle against the Nexus 5, the Moto X must accept its defeat, although it has a better camera than its opponent. But a good camera isn’t the only thing you expect from a smartphone, right? The Moto X is powered by a 1.7GHz dual core krait processor which teams up with the Qualcomm MSM8960Pro Snapdragon chipset. There are two variants of unexpandable internal memories that you can choose from: 16 and 32GB.

The Nexus 5 is powered by a 2.3GHz quad core krait 400 processor and has a Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 chipset. Like the Moto X, it comes in two variants of internal memories – 16 and 32GB, also unexpandable.

Both of the devices run on the Android platform, but on different versions: the Moto X runs on the Jelly Bean OS (upgradeable to the KitKat version) with 2GB of RAM, while the Nexus 5 comes loaded with the KitKat version and likewise the Moto X, it has 2GB of RAM.

Cameras

The Moto X has a better primary camera – 10MP (autofocus and LED flash) and the secondary camera is also more advanced – 2MP. The Nexus 5 has an 8MP rear facing camera (autofocus, LED flash and optical image stabilization) and a 1.3MP front camera.

Batteries

The Moto X has a Li-Ion battery with the capacity of 2200mAh, which allows you to talk 13hours. The Nexus 5 has a non-removable Li-Po battery with the capacity of 2300mAh, which allows you to talk 4 more hours on 3G.
