One of the most anticipated Google’s Android updates was the KitKat 4.4.3, since the initial version of the KitKat had many problems. The new version of the Android was supposed to fix these bugs, but instead, it seems that it came along with other bugs, while trying to fix the current ones. We already read a few reports where we saw that some Nexus 5 and Nexus 4 users were complaining about the new update because it brought more bugs then fixes.
In conformity with AndroidPIT, these particularly bugs can be found on Nexus devices, especially on Nexus 4.
Many of the reported problems were about auto-brightness control, random reboot bug and Wi-Fi connections problems. On Nexus 10 and Nexus 7 there are a few glitches and a significant battery drain.
Nexus 5 seems to have some kind of problems on Android 4.4.3, such as lagging dialer or Wi-Fi issues.
Some of the issues found on Android 4.4.3 are:
– Contacts history glitch: when you will want to see your call history, you will see a black screen instead of seeing all the contacts. However, sometimes it might work just fine, without any problems.
– Dialer “dies”: when you will try to dial a number using the keypad, your phone will display the contact names. However, this usually causes the dialer to crash for some reason. Another problem is that when somebody is calling you, your phone will “lag” in “seeing” who’s calling you, and instead of showing the name of who’s calling, you will see only the number.
– Battery problems: All Android KitKat update versions had the same problem and it seems that Google can’t fix this issue yet. Android 4.4.3 still “eats” your battery very fast for some reason.
Some of these problems can be solved by booting your phone to Safe Mode, which will disable any third party application, temporarily. However, people will have to wait for a new version of Android and hope that Google will come with some solutions in fixing these problems.
