Motorola Moto G vs Nokia X – Top Specs and Price Comparison

The Nokia X is the result of the tech giant’s attempts to make an Android phone, and they surely managed to pull it off. The phone is reasonable, but not outstanding, and it satisfies you to a large extent. The Motorola Moto G is more expensive than the Nokia X, but it’s one of the best budget phones. But which one you should buy. Read these specs and decide afterwards.

Displays and sizes

The Nokia X is a mid-range phone that has an IPS LCD display of 4 inches, which renders a resolution if 480x800pixels. The Moto G supports a higher resolution – 720×1,280pixels, but it has a bigger display – 4.5 inches, which is also an IPS LCD.

The Nokia X is slightly smaller, measuring 115.5x63x10.4mm and weighting almost 128 grams. The Moto G, on the other hand, is weighting 143grams, but that is because its dimensions are: 129.9×65.9×11.6mm.

Hardware and OS

The Nokia X functions decently with a dual-core Cortex A5 processor, clocked at 1GHz, and with the Qualcomm MSM8225 (Snapdragon S4 Play chipset). This phone has 4GB of internal storage – expandable by up to 32GB with a microSD card.

As for the Motorola Moto G, this device comes with a superior processor, a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor + Qualcomm MSM8226 (Snapdragon 400 chipset). It has two variants of internal memories: 8 and 16GB, which aren’t expandable.

Both phones run on the Android platform and come loaded with the Jelly Bean OS, only that the Moto G got the KitKat version and is comes with 1GB of RAM, while the Nokia X has only 512MB of RAM.


If you are an amateur photographer, you can practice with the Nokia X, which has a 3.15MP primary camera that takes modest pictures. The Moto G, on the other hand, has a better camera – 5MP, but it also comes with a front camera of 1.3MP.


The battery of the Nokia X has a capacity of 1,500mAh battery, with which you can talk 10 hours on 3G, with your friends. The Motorola Moto G’s battery is non-replaceable, but it has a capacity of 2,070mAh battery, and because of that, you can spend a whole day talking to your friends.


138 dollars is the price of the Nokia X Dual Sim on, while the Moto G 8GB variant costs 200 dollars.
