If you have been eyeing both the Motorola Moto G and Apple’s iPhone 5, here’s a comparison between the two smartphones to help you make a calculated decision on which to buy.

Display and Design

Motorola equipped its device with a 4.5 inches IPS LCD touch screen which can render a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The dimensions we see on this device are: 129.9 x 65.9 x 11.6 mm, while the weight is of 143 g.

Apple equipped its device with a 4 inch IPS LCD LED-backlit touch screen that has a resolution of 640 x 1136 pixels. This smartphone is a lot ligher, weighing 112 g and featuring the following dimensions: 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6 mm.

Hardware and Operating System

The Motorola Moto G has a 1.2 GHz processor (the cortex A7) which is a quad core. The chipset on this handset is the Snapdragon 400 MSM8226 model from Qualcomm. It supports 1GB of RAM as well as two variants of internal storage: 8GB and 16GB. The smartphone runs on Android Jelly Bean (upgradable to KitKat).
