Moto E vs Moto G vs Moto G 4G – Gorgeous Specs and Price Comparison

The Moto G is one of the most popular phones and that is because of its affordable price and high performance. Although there were a few complaints from unsatisfied users, Motorola worked hard to surpass themselves and worked on the Moto G 4G model, which was announced in May and put up for sale in June. Those who have two SIM cards can buy one of the dual-SIM variants.

Displays and Dimensions

Moto G and Moto G 4G have in common a 4.5-inch IPS LCD, which supports a decent resolution of 720×1,280pixels, while the Mote E comes with a smaller display, measuring 4.3 inches, and because of that, it renders a lower resolution – 540x960pixels. In terms of thicknesses, both Moto G variants have a thickness of 0.46 inches, but the Moto G weights 143grams and the Moto E weights 142grams, while the Moto E is 0.48 inches thick and weights 143 grams.

Hardware and OS

Moto G and Moto G 4G are powered by a newer version of the Cortex-A7 processor, which is more exactly a quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 400) clocked at 1.2GHz. The Moto E comes with a dual-core C 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 (Qualcomm Snapdragon 200) processor, and like both of the Moto G variants, it has 1GB of RAM.

All three smartphones run on the Android platform, but the Moto G is running on the v4.3 Jelly Bean (which is upgradable to the v4.4.2 KitKat), whereas the Moto G 4G will run on the newest Android operating system. The Moto E already runs on the v4.4.2 KitKat (which is upgradable to the v4.4.3 KitKat).

As for the internal storage, while the Moto G comes with two unexpandable variants of internal memories (8 and 16GB), the Moto G 4G model comes with the same two variants of internal memories, but you can expand them up to 32GB. The Moto E has only 4GB of internal storage, but it’s expandable up to 32GB.

Cameras

All three devices have a primary camera with a resolution of 5MP, but only the Moto G variants have LED flash, plus a 1.3MP secondary camera.

Batteries

All three devices have non removable batteries, but the Moto G variants’ batteries have a higher capacity – 2070mAh, while the Moto E’s battery has a capacity of 1980mAh.

Prices

The Moto G 8GB variant costs on amazon.com 200 dollars. The Moto G 4G costs 220 dollars, while the Moto E costs only 130 dollars.
