Mortal Kombat X Listed On Amazon, Countdown Ends This Week

Have you been following the new Mortal Kombat lately?

Officially, the upcoming title will be the first next gen in the series to hit platforms. At the moment, there is no specific release date for the game but it has generated enough hype already. The hype was fueled by its creator Ed Boon who constantly took to Twitter to make some announcements and post teaser images. The images were on par with the brutality of the series, exposing a broken back bone in black and white design. It was anticipated that the new fighting game could be the first one that could land on Xbox One and PS4. There are no prizes for guessing this one, because we already know that the next gen consoles have become current gen and are going strong with a great line-up of games. All the rumors will finally come to an end this week because the timer set by Ed Boon ends on Monday.

Amazon Listings

While everyone was eagerly waiting for the new game to come out, Amazon has already stolen the thunder from Ed Boon. Maybe, the developers of the game don’t mind such news coming out before the official announcement. An Amazon online retailer listing slot has been reserved for the game which has been tentatively titled under the name Mortal Kombat X. The actual name of the upcoming title will be known only when the company Nether Realms officially announces it. But, the good news is that this speculated title is arriving on all major platforms including PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 as well as PC. Sounds like fans are going to have a great time donning their favorite characters one more time and fight opponents in glorious 3D.

Compared to the earlier titles, the upcoming game is expected to be high on gore and pose superior graphics. The hardware capabilities of the new consoles are endless which should allow the game developer to push it to its extents. The PC platform received the Komplete Edition recently which was a worthy port that didn’t have any bugs or glitches. If you are a PC Gamer, you can bet it will be better this time around because all the platforms share a similar architecture which should favor game developers.

E3 Reveal Expected

The release date of the game will most probably be postponed after E3 but players might get the chance to try the game early during E3 2014. It is good to see the title coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 even though the lifetime of these consoles are nearly done. They are on the verge of extinction which could be in another couple of months, when developers start releasing games only on the Xbox One and PS4 platforms. The new Mortal Kombat X is coming to PC which is delightful news for those who believed that Nether Realms had boycotted the platform for a long time now. Stay tuned and we will bring you more information on the game once it is announced.
