Gear Up for the Crew As Ubisoft Announces Release Dates

Racing game fans have something to cheer about.

There have been talks about too many FPS games this year. It seems that every other developer and studio wants to work on a shooting game or an action adventure IP. However, there is still a large audience that wants the smell of burning rubber and that’s where Ubisoft’s ‘The Crew’ comes in. This revolutionary action game is all about those who love driving games. The followers of the game, who were inducted into this genre, by Need for Speed, have something more phenomenal to look forward to this year, especially now that Ubisoft has announced the release dates for the game.

The Game

The game focuses on a Detroit’s illegal street racing scene and a gang that has grown around it. Drivers from all over the world come to Detroit to take part in these races and get embroiled in a relentless strife to move up the ranks. Getting left behind is not acceptable and drivers are ready to do anything, to make space for themselves at the top. As the underground racing scene becomes more intense, all hell breaks loose and the racket becomes too large to be contained only to Detroit. You can therefore be maneuvering your car on the busy streets of New York and Manhattan, or be driving on a sunny boulevard in Miami. You may be challenging other players or just trying to get rid of the cops on your tail. The game has endless fun and action – suitable for all those who are looking for a rush of adrenaline.

The Release Dates

The Crew has been among Ubisoft’s most anticipated releases this year. After several disappointments and delays in launches this year, players can heave a sigh of relief as The Crew is slated to release just in time for the holiday season. The beta version of the game will be released for select players from 23 July. But ahead of that, a secret beta is already underway since May. In this beta playoff, international crews have been competing with each other and testing the game to make sure it is ready for the final launch. Twitch.tv will be broadcasting the playoffs live on June 10th and 11th, making sure that the game gets just the right publicity ahead of its big launch. The official release of the game would be on 14 November, later this year and the game is already available for pre-order on PS4, PC and Xbox One.

Pre-Orders

As with most games slated to release within the year, The Crew is also available for pre-order on the game’s website. Those who pre-order the game now will also get some cool limited edition vehicles, including the Dodge Ram SRT 10, the BMW Z4 and the Mini Cooper. On pre-ordering the game, you would also get 1000 crew credits that can be used for making in game purchases and upgrades for your vehicles. The limited edition pre-orders are currently available through Amazon, Target, Best Buy and Wal-Mart for $59.99.
