Galaxy Grand 2 vs Moto X vs Nexus 4 vs Lumia 1320 – Specs and Price Comparison

The Moto X is definitely a top smartphone, with great specs, although it’s not extremely expensive. It has a touchless control functionality feature with which the phone can open an app when hearing your voice command. For example – “Okay Google, open Facebook”. The phone “listens” to your commands even if you’re not using it. Just say the voice command, and the phone will obey. This phone is amazing, and today we’ll compare it with other great phones from its generation.

Displays

The Moto X is equipped with a 4.7inches 720p display, which supports a pixel density of 312ppi, lower than Nexus 4’s pixel density of 318ppi. This smartphone has also a screen of 4.7inches, but it renders a higher resolution – 1280x768pixels. The Galaxy Grand 2, Sony Xperia T2 Ultra and the Nokia Lumia 1320 support the same resolution of 720p – like the Moto X, but their screens have different sizes: 5.25inches (280ppi) and 6inches (245ppi – Xperia T2 Ultra & Lumia 1320).

OS

The Moto X and the Nexus 4 come loaded with the Android 4.4 KitKat OS, while the Galaxy Grand 2 and the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra are running on an older version – 4.2 Jelly Bean. The Nokia Lumia 1320 is the only smartphone that comes loaded with the Windows Phone 8, which is upgradeable to the Black version.

Hardware

Both of the Moto X and the Nexus 4 are powered by a Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and have 2GB of RAM, but the first device’s processor has two cores clocked at 1.7GHz, while the other phone’s CPU has four cores clocked at 1.5GHz.

The Galaxy Grand 2 has 1.5GB of RAM, while the Xperia T2 Ultra has 1GB of RAM and both of them are powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, clocked at 1.2GHz, respectively at 1.4GHz.

The Lumia 1320 has 1GB of RAM and it’s powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor.

Storage

The Moto X and the Nexus 4 have 16GB of internal storage, but it’s unexpandable.

The Lumia 1320 and the Galaxy Grand 2 have 8GB of internal storage – expandable up to 64GB.

The Xperia Z Ultra has 8GB internal storage – expandable up to 32GB.

Cameras

The Moto X has a 10MP primary camera (LED flash, ClearPixel technology which allows 75% more light to enter).

The Xperia T2 Ultra has a 13MP primary camera.

The Galaxy Grand 2 is equipped with an 8MP primary camera (LED flash).

The Lumia 1320 has the weakest camera – 5MP.

Batteries

In descending order of battery capacities, we have the Lumia 1320 with a 3,400mAh battery, the Xperia Z Ultra with a 3,000mAh battery, the Galaxy Grand 2, with a 2,600mAh battery and the Moto X occupies the penultimate position with its 2,200mAh battery, and the Nexus 4 doesn’t impresses with its battery of 2,100mAh.

As for the connectivity, all the devices come with basic connectivity options: 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and in addition, the Moto X, the Nexus 4 and Sony Xperia T2 Ultra support NFC.

Prices

The Nexus 4 is the cheapest smartphone, costing 286 dollars. It is followed by the Nokia Lumia 1320, which costs 290 dollars, the Galaxy Grand 2, which costs 315 dollars, the Moto X, which costs 330 dollars and the most expensive device is the Xperia T2 Ultra, which costs 370 dollars.
