A Look at the Changes in Uncharted 4 for PS4

The launch of PS4 has been a game changer of sorts. Studios and developers have been tweaking their IPs and titles to better suit this next-gen console and so has it been with Uncharted 4.

In a recent report, it has been disclosed that Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley at Naughty Dog have taken over the tentatively titled project. The game has gone through some unfortunate series of events when the former creative director of its development team decided to call it quits and joined Visceral game to work on the Star Wars game. After the departure of the creative director, the game director also promptly left the development team, leaving the project’s fate uncertain for a little while.

So What Now?

As announced by Naughty Dog, replacements have been made and the project is moving along just fine. Straley and Druckmann, both geniuses in their own way, have worked together previously on a title called “The Last of Us.” The game was released last year and received fair reviews. Ever since the success of their last venture, the team has been thinking of coming up with a new IP. They did mull over working on the sequel to their hit IP, but something even better came along for them.

Uncharted in New Hands

The fans of the Uncharted franchise are anxious about what would happen to their favorite game, now that it is in the hands of completely new team of developers. However, though it is still in the early stages of preproduction, Evan Wells, co-president of Naughty Dog games, has assured that the new game will be as big as the rest of the franchise. A sizable team is already working on it and the project is definitely going to take off soon. He also says that the team is full of new ideas and thoughts about the project, which has got everyone excited. Therefore, fans can be sure that something really great would be coming their way. With Straley and Druckmann working on the new project, the studio is sure that something worth getting excited about would be churned from their workstations.

What is the Studio Up To?

Apart from Uncharted 4, the studio is also working on several other projects. The studio is involved in a DLC for “The Last of Us,” with a remastered version for the PS4. The team is set to announce more detail about the game in their upcoming presentation at the E3 2014. All their projects are coming under Sony and they are all excited about each one of them. As “The Last of Us Remastered” is slated to release by the end of summer, the production is almost in the last leg. For PS4, the studio has already made several improvements in both game mechanics and visuals. The price of the game would be $59.99 and you can get more information about the game from the studio’s website or its Facebook page. While you are looking at the information there, who knows you may stumble upon a link that might give you some information on Uncharted 4 as well!
