Sony Xperia Z2 vs LG G2 – Beautiful Specs and Price Comparison

If you don’t mind spending a lot of money on a phone that comes with features like dust and water proofing, a long battery life and a camera that takes accurate pictures, then you should buy the Sony Xperia Z2. The LG G2 “borrowed” some features from the Optimus G Pro, but the thing you won’t like about this phone is that it comes with two variants of internal storage, which can’t be expanded. We’ll compare both phones to see which one is worth buying.

Designs and Displays 

Both smartphones come with a 5.2 inch display that supports a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels, but then Sony Xperia Z2’s capacity touch screen is an IPS LCD, while the LG G2 has a True HD-IPS + LCD capacitive touch screen.

In terms of dimensions, the Sony Xperia Z2 is measuring 146.8×73.3×8.2 mm and it’s weighting 163 grams, while the LG G2 is smaller, measuring 138.5×70.9×8.9 mm and it’s lighter too, weighting 20 grams less.

Operating Systems and Hardware 

The Sony Xperia Z2 powered by a 2.3 GHz quad core krait 400 processor and it has a Qualcomm MSM8974AB Snapdragon 801 chipset. There’s only one variant of internal memory of 16 GB, but it’s expandable by up to 128 GB.

The LG G2 has a 2.26 GHz quad core krait 400 processor + Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 chipset and there are two variants of unexpandable internal storage: 16 GB and 32 GB.

Both phones are Androids, only that the Sony Xperia Z2 is running on the KitKat o.s. with 3 GB of RAM, while the LG G2 runs is running on the Jelly Bean version and has 1 GB of RAM less.


The Sony Xperia Z2 has an incredible primary camera of 20.7 MP (autofocus + LED flash) and it also has a 2.2 MP secondary camera.
