Sony Xperia T2 Ultra was released at the beginning of this year, being one of the smartphones with the widest screen displays and the most advanced cameras. On the other hand, the Motorola Moto X has a long battery life and a futuristic voice command. We’ll compare both phones to see which one is better for your needs.
Display and designs
As we were mentioning in the introduction, the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra has a wide display, which is a 6 inch IPS LCD capacitive touch screen, rendering a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. The Motorola Moto X has a 4.7 inch AMOLED capacitive touch screen and the same resolution as the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra.
The dimensions of the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra are: 165.2x 83.8×7.7 mm, weighting over 170 grams, while the Motorola Moto X weights 40 grams less and has these dimensions: 129.3×65.3×10.4 mm.
Hardware and operating systems
The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra has a 1.4 GHz quad core cortex A7 processor + Qualcomm MSM8928 Snapdragon 400 chipset and only one variant of internal memory – 8 GB, expandable by up to 32 GB.
On the other hand, the Motorola Moto X has a more powerful processor, which is a 1.7 GHz dual core, and the phone also has a Qualcomm MSM8960Pro Snapdragon chipset. The only bad thing about this phone is that it doesn’t have expandable storage and comes in two variants of internal memories: 16 GB and 32 GB.
The Sony Xperia Z2 is an Android smartphone that runs on the Jelly Bean o.s., having 1 GB of RAM. The Motorola Moto X is also an Android phone, running on the Jelly Bean o.s., but you can upgrade it to the KitKat version. This phone has 2 GB of RAM.
The awesome thing about the Sony Xperia Z2 is its 13 MP primary camera (autofocus + LED flash), but the device has also a 1.1 MP secondary camera. The Motorola Moto X isn’t negligible either, because it has a 10 MP primary camera (autocus + LED flash) and a 2 MP secondary camera.
You can talk a whole day on 3 G on the Sony Xperia Z2 thanks to its non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery. On the Motorola Moto X you can talk 13 hours, because the the Li-Ion 2200 mAh battery allows you to do this.
The price of the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra starts from 300 dollars, but there aren’t many websites where you can find it on sale. On the other hand, the Motorola Moto X 16 GB variant costs 338 dollars on amazon.com.
