SAMMobile received from an anonymous tipster some pictures of what seems to be a Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini. If the tip is not a hoax, then the alleged Galaxy S5 Mini would be the miniature version of the Galaxy S5 and shares similar features with its bigger brother.
Today, May 30, SAMMobile published a series of photos of a phone that looks almost identical to the Samsung Galaxy S5. The website also leaked some of the features that supposedly will be included on the Samsung Galaxy S5.
Specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini
If the information is correct, the smartphone will have a 4.5 inch display of 720p, will be powered by a 1.4 Ghz quad-core Exynos 3 processor and will have1.5 GB of RAM. It will host 16 GB of internal storage, with the possibility of expanding the internal memory. Samsung Galaxy S5 mini would sport an 8 MP primary camera and will have a 2.1 MP secondary camera.
As for the operating system, the smartphone will run on the Android 4.4.2 KitKat version with TouchWiz user experience. According to SAMMobile, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini will receive many important features from its bigger brother. The fingerprint reader and the heart rate sensor will also be found on the new device.
Analyzing the photos, we can clearly notice that the microUSB port doesn’t have a flap cover, meaning that the phone is not water resistant.
It’s a possibility that the photos are a hoax
The internet can be deceiving sometimes, and our advice for you is to be skeptical until you’ll see the product with your own eyes, or you’ll hear an official statement from the Samsung’s representatives.
